The Albret camping site, an authentic
A family history since 1950
In the 1950s, Fernand DULER bought the farm he had been working on as a tenant farmer. A lover of the land and the ocean, he practises traditional pinasse fishing, cultivates farmland and collects resin from maritime pines.
Ten years later, in 1960, it hosted the first summer camps. The experience proved exciting, and the vocation of welcoming holidaymakers was born.
From 1961 to 1984, the entire DULER family embarked on the camping adventure. Their establishment is the very first private camping site in the area.
In 1984, Jeanne-Paule GADOU and Sabine LAUGAREIL, the two daughters of Fernand and Marie DULER, took over the business. Supported by their spouses, they launched major modernization and development work on the grounds and facilities.
In 1990, the first “grand confort” pitches were created for mobile homes.
In 2006, Alain GADOU, Jeanne-Paule’s son, took over the running of the camping site with his other half, Marion, a German who had fallen under the spell of the Landes region.
Between 2011 and 2019, a succession of investments will be made: brand-new equipment and improvements for even greater comfort!
And the fourth family generation is already on the horizon…
